When does school start and end?
Doors open at 8:35, students should not be dropped off before 8:35.
Students are considered tardy after 8:55.
School starts at 8:55 and ends at 3:55.
What time will my child be dismissed on Early release days?
Early release Dismissal starts at 1:40 PM
What time will my child be dismissed on Half Days?
Dismissal starts at 12:25 PM
Dropping off & Picking up Students
Students may NOT be dropped off before 8:35 a.m.
If you walk your student to the main entrance of the building, please sign them in at the Front Office.
Please note that the new sign in system requires the Student ID / Lunch number to sign students in.
For dismissals for medical appointments or early check out, you will need to come into the building and sign your child out in the Front Office. Only those who are on the emergency cards, with a valid, state issued photo ID will be allowed top pick up students.
NO STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED BETWEEN 3:25 p.m. and 3:55 p.m on regular school days.
Student check out ends twenty minutes prior to dismissal on half days and early release days.
How can I get my child registered at GES?
GES Registration hours are from 9:00am - 3:00pm..
Please note that as per CMCSS Distrct policy, your child MUST be zoned for Glenellen in order you to register them. Registration packets are available in the front office or can be done online via the following link:

Required Documents are:
Immunization Records on the TN Certificate of Immunization
Two (2) proofs of residence (mortgage or lease agreement and/or utility bills - gas & water or electric)
Please note that registration packets cannot be accepted without the appropriate documentation.
What are the bus routes and who do I contact to get schedule information?

If, for some reason, you have to change your child's transportation, we ask that you please submit changes of transportation in writing via note paper or your child's Study Buddy. NO CHANGES IN TRANSPORTATION WILL BE ACCEPTED VIA THE PHONE OR VIA EMAIL.
When can I talk to my child’s teacher?
Teachers will set appointments to talk to parents before school, after school, or during their planning time. We ask that you write a note to your child's teacher through Class Dojo.
What is my child's lunch time?
You may call Glenellen’s office at 920-6158. You may also write a note in your child’s Study Buddy requesting their lunch time.
