Here is a little about myself, I earned my bachelors in Special Education with a minor in General Education from Austin Peay State University. I am married to the love of my life and we have two children of our own who also attend Glenellen (GO TORTOISES)! This is my seventh year at Glenellen and I am beyond thrilled to be here. Welcome! I am so excited to be your child's teacher this 2021-2022 school year! Please read below for some important information regarding parent/teacher communication.

At Glenellen, all students will receive a "study buddy". If you are new to GES, we use study buddies as a form of communication. Students will bring it back and forth to school each day. Throughout the week, I will have my students record important information in their study buddy, such as upcoming events, test/quiz dates, picture day,  questions/concerns, and/or any information that you need to be made aware of. Please be sure to check these daily, I encourage my students throughout the year to take them out and share it with you each day!

Weekly Newsletters!! That's right, on Monday's of each week, please be on the lookout for our Weekly Newsletter that will come home with students, it also contains lots of important information. Please know that, should we not have school on a Monday, Class Newsletters will be sent home the following day.

Also, it is important to note that students will have a "mailbox" in my classroom. This is where graded papers, class info, newsletters, etc will be placed. Please encourage your child to check his or her mailbox each day, as I will do the same!

As a classroom, it is important that we remember and utilize the following expectations and procedures:

  • Be mindful of when the teacher and/or another classmate is talking.
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions or reach out to your teacher, I am here to help you do your best learning!
  • Respect others and yourself by paying attention and utilizing the resources that have been provided for you.
  • Be prepared each and every morning for a full day of learning.
  • Follow our Internet Safety policies.
  • Remember to always try your best and never give up.
  • Finally, lets do our best to make this your BEST year yet.
  • It is my goal to make this a safe and fun environment for all, while also preparing your child for middle school!!
